Lest you think the only things I've been drawing lately have to do with San Francisco and/or Los Angeles, have some more portraits of all my fault characters!

These portraits are actually going to be used in several contexts that have not been released yet, but I figure they're generic enough that I can still upload them here now, outside of more specific context.

(Garlock belongs to ~Catamount, who kindly lets me continue to borrow him for things.)

Thanks!
If I could actually surf (which I can't, and I'd probably end up killing myself if I tried), I would definitely require a seismogram surfboard for myself.

Back in July 2009, I wrote down around 30 named faults in Southern California(from the Southern California earthquake data website) along with their detailed descriptions in my notebook. I have it. :) Here is the link: [link]

Oh, they redid that part of the website, too! They changed the whole format a few months ago. I like that the new map is Google-based and lets you zoom, but one of the things that I thought was very helpful as a learning tool about the old map was the fact that each fault was in a different color. It does reinforce some artificial boundaries, since ruptures need not be confined to a single fault, but from a general structural standpoint, I liked the colors.

She is not someone you want to mess with!

Speaking of which, how are you doing up there after the recent 6.5 and aftershock? Those weren't actually on the subduction zone, but still. Yikes!

Well the 6.5 broke some windows in eureka, and knocked over lots of brick chimneys, a couple of older buildings may have to be condemned, but they might be able to save them. one house came off it's foundation and is probably a goner. 30 people went to the emergency room, 1 had a broken hip, the others went home that night.

The aftershock on Thursday startled everyone, but it didn't even knock things off shelves, I haven't heard of any major damage, and none was hurt.

I did a comic about the 6.5 in my other account, it's here:[link]

and thank's for your concern.
